A delicious and quick way to make tilapia! Please note that chili powder is different from cayenne pepper.

Directions

  • Step 1

    Combine chili powder, garlic powder, and salt in a small bowl.

  • Step 2

    Rub tilapia with the spice mix.

  • Step 3

    Add oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the tilapia and cook until done flipping once, about 4-7 minutes depending on the thickness of your fillets. The fish is finished if it flakes when you lightly press it with a fork.

Serve with lime, a green salad, rice, and asparagus or green beans. 

When you fry fish, it is advisable to keep it out of the refrigerator for 10-15 minutes so that the temperature in the pan does not change when it is cooked. Also, fry the fish with the side did not have skin on first.
